Purchasing Skills with Balthazar/Factions/Items! +Support arguments included!
Ye i think instead of buying skills for 1k you should be able to buy them with factions or some other special point system u get from mobs or:
- faction points
- balthazar points
- special items/trinkets
THIS IS AN ADDITION TO THE CURRENT SYSTEM. THIS IS NOT REPLACING the old one.
- Allowing another type of skill acquisition would be the next step toward build flexibility
- Will make things easier for newbies, they often make mistakes buying skills that are useless, and it can get costly for them
- More friendly system
- Everyone will have access to getting balthazar/faction points, unlike farming for money
- Money is an obstacle and limit that prevents you from having fun in the game, with this system added, it would make money more useful for other things
No im not removing bold font, stop complaining, if cant stand looking at bold text, dont play guildwars, ull get seizures.

And what is your reasoning behind this decision? I can't really support or disagree with your suggestion if you don't back it up with an explanation.

i say only balthazar faq ... instead of 1 platin, pay 500 Balth faq and 1 AP, or pay 1000 Balth Faq and no AP
but imo i think, anet should just give us again lots of quest npc's which give us as reward new Skills ....
there should be a large Quest Update with new quests for FA and NF or simple give the existing quests additional to the exp also Skills as reward, like simple in prophecies...
then also Canthan and Elonian Charas should be able to make the Prophecies Quests for the Skills and vice versa ...
paying ever 1 platin for a normal skill sucks, when you compare that, that you can hunt for 1 platin also 1 Elite Skill, which can be alot more useful, than a normal Skill, so being also more worth
I think, once you have boutht so much signets, till they cost 1 Platin, buying normal Skills should become free in kind of money and you have to pay simple only with AP's....

I would support something like, you don't have to pay for skills you already have unlocked. You would just need the skillpoint.
If getting skills were less costly, I believe more people would have more diverse builds, instead of everyone cookie cutting to save money.

There's always tomes you can get as a drop in HM. You can pick up a decent number of skills as quest rewards, too. Also, there are NPCs that take hero skill points for a wide variety of different skills across all professions. So there's four options. Why complicate matters with even more?

How many Skills do you really need to buy?
not that much,imo
you get like 30 skills for 20k or there abouts yeah? thats nearly 4 differant skill bars.
if you think savign money for armour is more important or getting a nice new weapon get them instead but i see nothing wrong with things the way they are.

This is *exactly* the mentality that I said this system causes. Why buy more skills if you can just cookie cut things and not worry about it?
Don't you think that if, say, it didn't cost 40k for 50 skills you would be more inclined to getting more skills for your character and experiment with builds?
The cost for skills is similar to the old Refund Point system. Since it took a form of investment to change, a lot of people only ran one or two builds they were CERTAIN worked. Now at least people can change attributes easily enough to encourage more builds.
Allowing another type of skill acquisition would be the next step toward build flexibility.

Too bad. Instead of farming plat, you'll just end up trapping Zaishen.
This is another "make things easier" thread.

i would like to buy many skills becuz its fun to experiment with builds, the money limits me
another reason for this proposal is that it will make things easier for newbs, they make mistakes buying skills that are useless, and it can get costly for them, its a more friendly system

I would like skills as quest rewards. Perhaps being able to buy skills w/ the various trinkets you get would also work (battle commendations, trade contracts, etc).
The problem is, we'd basically have to make sure the other options are about equal in terms of time, to earn the amount needed to purchase skills.
I wouldn't have a problem w/ faction points, personally.
